God sends two angels to Sodom, where Lot protects them from the violent men of the city. The angels warn Lot that God will destroy the city, and they urge him to flee with his family. Lot hesitates, but the angels lead them out. As judgment falls—fire and sulfur—Lot’s wife looks back and becomes a pillar of salt. Sodom and Gomorrah are completely destroyed, but God spares Lot because He remembers Abraham.
